• Retains high precision irrespective of frequency with which they are mounted and dismounted
• Smooth, cylindrical outside surface
• Can also be used to form part of gap-type seal
• Holes around circumference and in one side facilitate mounting

• Not recommended for applications where the direction of rotation is sometimes reversed
